The Association works alongside the public, businesses and the local authority. Its objectives are to support the restoration and protection of the Sainte-Cécile church in Acquigny, and to promote its discovery — notably through the publication of a book produced by the Association itself: The Sainte-Cécile church through its works of art and archives.
It leads a fundraising campaign in close partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine and the local authority. To promote and ensure its success, the association organises concerts, exhibitions and visits (Heritage Days, …and by phone appointment).

THE RESTORATION PROJECT

Since the partial restoration carried out in 1976 (the choir), the Sainte-Cécile church has suffered significant deterioration due to humidity and the passage of time.
The current restoration project aims to complete the remaining sections of the building: the nave, the Rosary chapel, the mortuary chapel, the baptismal font chapel, the Saint-François-de-Sales chapel, the sacristy and the devotional areas.

The book, priced at €18.80, is available at the following locations: Louviers Tourist Office, Acquigny and Gaillon châteaux, Au Quai Des Mots in Louviers, and the Saint-Jean Diocesan Centre in Évreux.
