In order to finance this restoration project and in addition to public assistance, generous sponsorshave come to contribute, but the needs are great. It became necessary to raise awareness of the restoration project of the church while formalizing the launch of our fundraising campaign from a key event.

Thus, we turned to artistes seeking to share the gift of a painting.All these paintings have been sold at auction, under the supervision of an auctioneer Friday, May 27 in the old press room of the Acquigny Castle. The results of this sale have been completely devoted to the restoration of the church.



The 2011 edition of the sale was a success due in particular to the loyal supporters, close to the action for the renovation of the Church of St. Cecilia. They have enabled to complete a check of Euros 7000 for the Restoration Project, which was deposited to the Heritage Foundation ("Fondtion du Patrimoine").

This event was covered by many media (reports in the newspapers such as Paris Normandie, La Dépêche, Radio France Bleu Haute-Normandie, and TV reports on France 3 channel)

The association Friends of the Church of St. Cecilia Acquigny » is thanking:
- All the artists and owners of Castle Acquigny who helped to organize this unique event for the restoration project of the Santa Cecilia church,
- All partners who contribute to the activities and influence of the association, including:
       - International Alice Rosner Foundation, Crédit Agricole Normandie-Seine with local businesses
       - Municipality of Acquigny, the Parish of Our Lady of the Woods, the Association 4AC, accompanied by volunteers and friends of the church, without whom this event could not have happened.
