The AMOROSO orchestra varies in size to suit the musical works of its repertory, its fifteen to twenty musicians coming from the conservatories of music or from the national music academies of Upper Normandy (Seine Maritime).

The group whose aim is to perform and promote the musical repertory from the 18th century up to and including contemporary works bearing in mind the intention that the music would become accessible to people not usually aware of the interest of classical music, helped by explanations. Indeed, before the performance of each work there would be a presentation of the composer, information on the circumstances of the composition and of its context, together with any other relevant comments helping to understand and appreciate the music.

The AMOROSO orchestra has given concerts regularly in this region, obtaining a well-earned excellent reputation in Upper Normandy. It is to be noted that often these concert-goers are eclectic and not at all specialists of classical music. They discover, or re-discover the performance of classical music with much enthusiasm, and they are offered a varied program which mixes popular classics with a repertory which calls for a more trained "ear".
